Clinical case 446

The patient, at the age of 55, came to the clinic being unhappy with her dental situation from both aesthetic and functional points of view. The case was very complicated because the patient did not want classical removable dentures but she also did not afford an oral rehabilitation with dental implants, the maxilla presented advanced bone resorption, being already circumscribed by the mandible, leading to reverse occlusion. We decided to make for the upper arch a skeletal denture attached with staples, and for the lower arch we managed to save the present teeth for which we made a porcelain fused to metal prosthesis and for the lateral areas we made a skeletal denture attached with clasps. The very good result made the patient very happy for both aesthetic and functional aspects.
