Clinical case 4683
External sinus lift, bone augmentation, 14 dental implants, 28 Zirconia crowns
The patient, at the age of 60, came at the clinic for both aesthetic and functional reasons. The patient had prostheses done years before which did not follow either the aesthetic or functional principles of the modern dentistry. The patient asked for a treatment as modern as possible which implied the replacement of the extracted teeth with the aid of dental implants. This way we had been able to physiologically restore the arches with individual crowns, eliminating the old concept of bridges which solidarized multiple teeth and which had both aesthetic and hygienic disadvantages. Because the teeth extraction on sides had been done a long time ago, the bone losses were significant. For the bone regeneration we have decided for different surgeries as external sinus lift, bone augmentation, bone condensing for which we have used Bio-Gide and Bio-Oss, Swiss materials considered to be the best in the world. 14 dental implants have been placed permitting us to make individual crowns, as the patient wanted. For a perfect aesthetic for the lower front area we have also decided for new prostheses, eliminating the asymmetry of the old prostheses. 14 implant supported Zirconia crowns and 14 Zirconia crowns on teeth were made for this case. The patient wished a natural white shade for his teeth, according to his age. The result was very good from both aesthetic and functional points of view, managing to rebalance the occlusion (bite) and to give the patient the smile he wanted.
