Clinical case 4018
10 Zirconia crowns, 16 E-max veneers, 1 dental implant
The 35 year old patient came at the clinic because of aesthetic reasons. The teeth of both arches presented second degree abrasion and were a lot shorter than normally, aspect which bothered the patient very much. The teeth color was pretty dark and the patient wanted a Hollywood smile. The case was a difficult one considering that it required also the restoration of the vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO), fact that implied prostheses for all teeth and the raising of occlusion (bite) up to the physiological version. The raising of occlusion (bite) was done at first with the aid of temporary prostheses in order to determine the ideal version. We have decided together for 10 Zirconia crowns for the lateral areas and for 16 E-max veneers for the front areas. The patient had a missing tooth on the lower arch, where it has been placed a dental implant on which was later placed a Zirconia crown. The patient wished a major change for her smile but, at the same time, she asked us to make the prostheses morphologically identic with the natural teeth so that nobody would realize that her teeth are not natural.
The result made the patient very happy, changing her life.
