Clinical case 84
Treatment with Zirconia corono-radicular reconstruction and full ceramic crown
The 32 year old patient, the manager of a famous Austrian company, came to us because of aesthetic reasons. At the level of central incisor the patient had a porcelain fused to metal crown incorrectly adapted on the edges that caused a chronic irritation of the adjacent gum and also a decay under the prosthesis. Because the prosthetic abutment was severely affected by the decay a coronary radicular reconstruction was required. Being an important aesthetic area we chose the Zirconia corono-radicular reconstruction and the full ceramic crown.
The very good adaption of the crown and the lack of metallic support for the crown allowed the gum to recover its natural color. The greatest advantage of the full ceramic crown is probably that the light pervades the crown just the way it pervades a natural tooth, this is why the aesthetic results are truly extraordinary.
