The patient, at the age of 38, came at Dental Progress Clinic because of both aesthetic and functional issues. Recently the patient has suffered some extractions at another dental clinic, so on both lateral areas all her molars were missing. In this situation the options for treatment were either the removable prostheses (dentures) or fixed prostheses with the aid of dental implants. Together with the patient we have decided for fixed prostheses cemented on dental implants. The lower lateral areas presented extended bone resorption so the bone augmentation was necessary.

Therefore the bone splitting and the bone augmentation have been performed in the same session with the dental implants placement. This way we won a few waiting months, which mattered for the patient. The patient wished for a “Hollywood” smile so we made 12 E-max veneers and 16 zirconia crowns. With the E-max veneers the smile line has also changed because the patient’s teeth were shorter due to abrasion and the veneers have been done to the ideal shape, giving her a younger aspect, fact that made her very happy.
